Jr. Accountant / Payroll Accountant
Seeking full time Jr. Accountant / Payroll Accountant. Office is located in San Rafael, CA 20 miles north of San Francisco right off Highway 101. Will be responsible for reconciling books for various companies. Knowledge of financial statements is a must. Knowledge of Quickbooks & Microsoft Excel required. Typical Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Sales Reconciliation 2. Bank Statement Reconciliation and generating financial statement to ensure cost is controlled at various locations. 3. Calculates, posts and audits payroll and timekeeping information, utilizing basic mathematical techniques in order to document and assure the accuracy of employee work hours and other related calculations. 2. Tally payroll hours given to verify accuracy 4. Maintain personnel records 5. Maintain detailed files and record-keeping systems to assure accurate and complete documentation of payroll and personnel 6. Setup applicable payroll tax credit forms for applicable personnel. 7. Data entry in Quickbooks for accounting. 8. Other Accounting and Administrative work as required uld have experience in filing payroll tax forms.
Requirements:
Qualified candidates will have the following skills: -Accounting experience is required. Accounting Major preferred. -Excellent organizational and strong attention to detail skills -Strong knowledge of accounting principles -Experience with Quickbooks -Proficient in MS Excel is MUST, MS Outlook and MS Word. -Ability to work effectively and independently with minimum supervision. Needs to be detailed & organized. -Accounting student acceptable. This job is ideal for someone who has worked in a small to medium size company and has processed payroll.
