OPEN POSITION: Junior Accountant
AVAILABILITY: Immediate, Full-Time
MAIN RESPONSIBILITY: This position is for a professional, experienced employee performing primarily accounting work in accordance with accounting principles.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting - Professional Level Fluency in Written and Spoken English (Bilingual-Spanish Speaking) - 3 to 5 Year Minimum, Professional Full-Time Relevant ACCOUNTING Experience as defined below - High Degree of Accuracy - Excellent Computer Skills with Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Products (Excel Skills -- Intermediate or Higher) - Ability to Work Independently (initial training provided for candidates with accounting background) - Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills - Strong Organizational Skills with the Ability to Multi-Task - PeachTree a Plus
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: - New & Existing Account Maintenance - Purchase Inventory - Purchase Disbursements - Daily Deposits - Periodic Proforma and Sales Invoices - "On-Demand" Disbursements - Backup to Accounts Payable Department (as needed) - General Ledger Maintenance - Credit Processing - Journal Entries - "Bank Report" - Capitalize Freight and Other Costs - Lease Commitments - Line of Credit Calculation - Mortgage Payments - American Express Coding and Reconciliation - Bank Reconciliations - Sales Tax Reports and Payments - Manage Inter Companies - Annual Auction Support - Annual review, update schedules, for CPAs - Coordinate Accounting Matters with Other Departments - Serve as Source of Information Relative to His/Her Assignment - Provide All Assigned Reports and Information in Accordance with Schedules - Provide Special Reports and Analysis as Required for Management Decisions - Backup to other department areas as needed
