Job Description:
Internal Auditor, Senior (IT) DESCRIPTION As a member of the Enterprise Technology Audit team of professionals, review information technology processes and general systems controls that support the numerous systems, platforms, applications and technologies in operation at over 17 Fiserv, Inc. data centers. Review and assess the nature and adequacy of information technology security and controls to verify compliance with Fiserv standards, regulatory requirements and sound information technology management practices. Assist with other Audit and Risk projects and initiatives as needed upon request. RESPONSIBILITIES Use established IT audit work programs and tools to review, assess and test information technology controls and security at the various Fiserv, Inc. business units. Specific audit areas include: Information Security & Privacy Networks (LAN/WAN, wireless, VPN) Database Administration Computer Operations (including platform management and security) Systems & Development (including project management, SDLC and change control) Physical Security Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery Planning Client and Data Services With the guidance and oversight of Senior Auditors and Managers, analyze results of audit procedures and testing to appropriately assess risks and provide appropriate recommendations for corrective action. Participate in audit kick-off and exit meetings. Present audit conclusions and recommendations to management at the conclusion of the audit and as a part of the exit meeting. Recommends and implements Corporate and business unit policies and procedures to assure compliance. Prepare detailed, neat and organized work papers with sufficient audit evidence to support and document findings, conclusions and recommendations. Perform compliance activities and other assigned tasks in a professional manner and in accordance with ETG standards, timelines and budgets. Creates Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and maintains reports and dashboards to measure results. Identifies compliance information, techniques, and procedures for improving compliance and reducing business unit risk. FUNCTIONS • High organizational skills • Ability to handle multi-tasks and meet deadlines • Ability to work efficiently and productively without direction or guidance • Capable of exercising extreme discretion and independent judgment • Ability to handle extremely confidential information in a professional manner • Ability to communicate, both verbally and written, with a high level of confidence • Travel 25% to 30% of the year • MS Office skills especially Word and Excel EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Undergraduate degree (4 year) in a related discipline is required. Technical certifications or other relevant training is a plus. 1+ year professional experience in information technology, public accounting, audit or related field. Financial services industry experience is preferred.
SKILLS IT background with a good understanding or working knowledge of a variety of technologies, systems and applications such as Mainframe (Unisys, IBM) Client server (Tandem/AS/400, UNIX) Networks and connectivity (Windows, Citrix, VPN solutions) Applicant should also possess a strong understanding of the pertinent information security risks, vulnerabilities and suggested risk mitigation techniques associated with these technologies, systems and applications. Strong understanding and competency in information security and controls. Familiar with the system development life cycle and project management principles. Ability to work independently, yet seek guidance from Senior Auditors and Managers as needed. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others. Maintain a professional demeanor and provide exceptional service to business unit “clients.” Ability to travel 35% of the time.
