Business Unit Overview Business Services provides Exelon and its subsidiaries with financial, human resource, legal, information technology, supply management and corporate governance services. Job Description Exelon is seeking a Public Markets Analyst. This position reports to the Director of Public Markets and Investment Strategy. The position assists in the selection, evaluation, and on-going monitoring of external public markets investment managers. This role will Prepare short term performance and risk reports at the direction of the team and conduct due diligence processes on external managers at the direction of the team. The Public Markets Analyst will Conduct market based research at the direction of the team and identify opportunities for process improvements and technology automation initiatives. This role will engage in financial modeling and financial statement analysis of investments utilizing Excel.
The successful candidate will have a B.S. degree in Business, Accounting, MIS, Economics, Finance or Engineering/Technical area from an accredited four year university with a minimum 3-5 years industry-specific experience, and progress towards a CFA, or MBA a plus; plan sponsor experience a plus. Knowledge of investment, finance, economic practices and performance measurement and style analysis and demonstrated technical knowledge of investments and industry dynamics are required as are Advanced Excel and analytical skills required, VBA and SQL a plus. Candidates must have demonstrated interpersonal and analytical skills and a willingness to be "hands-on" in problem solving and the experience and ability to manage analytical tools and systems. Proven skills in computer applications such as Word and PowerPoint are essential.
