Manages employees and/or first-level managers performing financial, operational, strategic, compliance audits and/or investigations across multiple business and functional areas. Manages the development and documentation of plans for engagements, including: objectives, scope, timing and resource allocations. Provides management of multiple engagements. Communicates and conveys organizational messages and engagement status to business unit and functional leadership. Exerts influence in establishing the risk based engagement plans consistent with the organization goals. Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Manages, develops and motivates employees and/or first-level managers.
Manage employees and subordinate manager performing financial, operational, and compliance related audit engagements to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls. May lead the work of outside contractors. Provide ongoing supervision to ensure that quality and engagement objectives are met. Primary focus is managing reviews of Government Business entities however this position may also manage assurance or advisory engagements of other business's supported by Corporate Audit (BCA, Corporate, BCC, EO&T, SSG, or Enterprise wide processes). Responsible for project management including development and tracking of costs and schedules to ensure commitments are met. Act as client interface to the Boeing Defense, Space & Security stakeholders within the Company. Proactively communicate with stakeholders to understand their business objectives, key risks and identify opportunities to provide services that support the business and reduce risk exposures. Actively develop, coach, and mentor employees to meet their objectives, learn and grow professionally. Ensure administrative requirements are met.

Bachelors and/or Master's degree in Finance, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering. Typically ten years of professional experience in professional field. Experience in manufacturing or aerospace industry is preferred. Knowledge and experience with internal control concepts based on the Internal Control Integrated Framework committee of sponsoring Organization of the Tread way Commission (COSO). The Corporate Audit Manager for Boeing, Defense, Space & Security will report to the Corporate Audit Director of Boeing Defense Space & Security. The manager will be responsible for 1) assessing business risk to support development of the audit plan, 2) managing audit projects (provide review and approval of audit plans, programs, reports and work papers), and 3) identify and manage internal process improvement projects and activities. The manager will also be responsible for 4) supporting professional development and performance assessment of project teams, 5) supporting professional develop of direct reports, and 6) serving as the primary organizational interface for a business unit and function(s). In the interface role, it will be expected to develop and maintain professional relationships in coordinating audit reports and assessing business unit/functional risks. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal, written and presentations skills and able to make presentations in front of senior Boeing leaders. The successful candidate will ideally have 10 - 15 years of experience in supporting government compliance requirements, with a significant portion of this experience with more than one of the following disciplines: Audit, Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing Operations, Program Management, or Supplier Management. Significant travel required; travel can be anticipated to range from 50-70 percent and vary quarterly. This position can be performed at any of the work locations identified on this requisition.
