Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Following is a summaryof the essential functions for this job. Other Duties may be performed, bothmajor and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may changefrom time to time. 1. Evaluate the needs, coordinate the ordering andinstallation of all equipment, cabling, data circuits, and software for movesand additions of equipment. 2. Coordinate all system related item/tasks prior toeach agency conversion by communicating with Insurance Services employees. luate, test and coordinate all software releases with and through theInsurance Implementation Manager, Insurance Production Manager and InsuranceNetwork Manager to ensure proper implementation and communication of changes. ist in maintaining Insurance Hardware/Software inventory by updating databasewith information on any changes or upgrades to hardware or software on BB&TInsurance Equipment. 5. Maintain a current and thorough understanding of thehardware and connectivity used in the Insurance Services stantly stay abreast of technology and the availability of technology inconjunction with BB&T IT personnel. 6. Maintain any IT related designationsthrough continuing education as required. 7. Maintain Insurance license throughcontinuing education as required. 8. Provide daily systems communication supportas needed in conjunction with the Help Desk. 9. Maintain a completeunderstanding of all third party software and coordinate the installation of all"approved" third party software programs. 10. Assist InsuranceOperations Manager and Insurance Network Manager with the development andmaintenance of total and comprehensive hardware/equipment Disaster RecoveryPlan.
