Information Technology Auditor - Senior Consultant

Responsibilities for this position include: * Execute the day-to-day activities of IT controls assessment including assess general and application controls using the Federal Information Systems Controls Audit Manual (FISCAM) or ISACA Cobit methodology* Provide best practices on how to efficiently and effectively audit the access controls and configuration management controls * Evaluate the design and effectiveness of technology controls throughout the business cycle* Identify and communicate IT audit findings to senior management and clients* Help identify performance improvement opportunities for assigned clients * Travel to locations near Ft. Belvoir VA on a regular basis and be willing to travel throughout the United States* Lead a team of two - four associates to execute the IT controls assessment plan * Provide guidance on developing the scope of the IT controls assessment based the FISCAM methodology* Provide technical guidance on different technologies, which could include Unix, Windows, Mainframes, as well as SAP* Review Associates' workpapers and provide coaching as needed* Supervise and provide performance management for IT assessment staff working on assigned engagementsThe successful applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): * Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Accounting, or a related discipline from an accredited college/university* Strong leadership and communication skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to write at a 'publication' quality level in order to communicate findings and recommendations to the client's senior management team* CPA or a CISA is a key plus* Experience managing or assessing one or more of the following technologies: Windows, Unix, Mainframes, and SAP* At least 3 years of applicable financial or business consulting experience* Minimum of 2 years experience in IT auditing using FISCAM or COBIT* Demonstrated understanding of the Federal security standards from NIST (SP 800-53) and/or COBIT auditing principles* Experience leading small to moderate sized IT audits and/or IT security evaluations * Experience with assessing financial controls (e.g. procure to pay, order to cash) in ERPs* Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
