Information Technology Auditor - Project Director

General Work Duties:* Documenting agency business processes and internal controls, this may include those performed by other entities in support of the agency, making applicable recommendations for improved processes and controls, and assisting with implementing and institutionalizing related policies and procedures * Assisting with developing and implementing detailed solutions (corrective action plans) to improve business processes and/or resolve audit impediments* Preparing documentation for assertion in accordance with defined OSD Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) Office business rules* Identifying and reconciling data files to business and financial statement reporting, and assisting with development of repeatable/sustainable processes for data file retention and retrieval* Performing data mining and cleansing procedures* Developing and maintaining a communication plan to ensure cogent and continuous communication to assist in institutionalizing agency stewardship improvement and audit readiness* Assisting with financial statement analysis* Validating the effectiveness of corrective actions* Conducting reviews (e.g., FFMIA, FISCAM) of agency-owned and/or managed systems, Representing the agency and supporting agency positions on OSD working groupsQualifications:* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Accounting, or a related discipline from an accredited college/university* Strong leadership and communication skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to write at a "publication" quality level in order to communicate findings and recommendations to the client's senior management team* CPA or a CISA a key plus* Experience managing or assessing one or more of the following technologies: Windows, Unix, Mainframes, SAP* At least 5 years of applicable financial or business consulting experience* Minimum of four years experience in IT auditing using FISCAM or COBIT* Minimum of two years experience in auditing federal government agencies using FISCAM and/or NIST 800-53* Experience managing moderate to large sized IT audits and/or IT security evaluations * Experience in mentoring junior staff * Experience in identifying and developing audit procedures around ERP application controlsCandidates must be eligible to work in the United States of America without sponsorship.
