Independence Compliance Research Analyst - Wilton, CT
The individual in this position will be one of a group of Research Analysts responsible for performing various research activities and data input associated with information concerning corporate entities and their affiliates.
This role will help maintain and upkeep the US and Global Member Firm's entities in the Deloitte Entity Search & Compliance System (DESC) equivalent information included in the Deloitte Tracking & Trading system (aka GIMS) system and entities included in the Corporate Entity Tree project within the Firm Contribution tool (FCT). This role will require close interaction with other members of the team, as well as providing customer support on inquiries related to the Independence, Ethics and Compliance department.
Key Responsibiltities include:
· Execute Independence Operations data processing and associated processing · Perform QA Review of Corporate Trust Trees · Provide customer support via written or verbal communications to various levels of the Firm to include partners, principals and directors · Perform routine and special assignments and provide support to other Independence team members and their initiatives · Provide support to Independence compliance HelpDesk · Support senior management in executing completion of specific projects and mgmt of ongoing operations related to the Big 4 GMF Project, Corporate Entity Tree Project (CET), DESC, FCT and GIMS. · Some travel involved. · 1-3 years relevant experience with a large corporation or accounting firm in leading and executing projects, presentations and database processing · Ability to work on multiple projects with minimal supervision · Demonstrated initiative and good judgment · Proven ability to upward manage involvement of leadership · Experience managing defined deadlines and prioritizing time required on activities · Experience working in an environment where priorities can quickly change · Ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team, in a dynamic work environment · Solid verbal and written communication, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills · Excellent research skills - Strong attention to detail · Customer service attitude and dedication to quality/accuracy · Prior understanding of Independence requirements for professional audit firms a plus · Proficient in standard office-productivity tools (MS Outlook, Excel and Word) MS Access, Project and Visio a plus · Knowledge of financial research tools such as stock exchanges, Moody's, Dun & Bradstreet, Bloomberg, OneSource and Thomson is a big plus · Willingness to work overtime if needed
