Head of Global Distribution - Irving (Sports Management/Finance)The Head of Global Distribution will lead the global distribution strategy and the global Distribution Center Operations network. Primarily, you'll be tasked with achieving both best-in-class service and distribution cost advantages for all global locations/operations. This person must be experienced in leading strategic distribution planning, development and deployment in a fast paced and dynamic business environment.
The scope of the global distribution network currently includes DC's in:
Canada Taiwan UK France Sweden Utah Illinois (2 locations) Pennsylvania
Success will be measured by defining and implementing the best service/cost DC network strategy, achieving aggressive goals relative to contemporary world-class distribution performance metrics, executing restructuring initiatives, collaborating and building confidence and credibility with all stakeholders, and delivering a level of service that satisfies all internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:
Develop and lead the distribution strategic direction across the global network to achieve year over year service and cost improvement performance Drive annual productivity and cost savings against the Network's distribution budget spend of greater than $ 22 million Assesses organizational and operational effectiveness and recommends changes/enhancements that will improve operating processes and performance Manage more than $140 million of finished product inventory across all Global DC's. Provide organization and structure to our company's global distribution team to establish distribution function as a core competency and competitive advantage. Develop and maintain a collaborative and positive relationship with all business unit leadership teams Interface effectively with the Logistics and Inventory teams to assure alignment with the global operational objectives, and performance expectations Create a positive and winning culture within the global distribution team by developing people for next level assignments in distribution Assess distribution assets annually to match capacity and utilization with actual inventory storage requirements across all DC's Develop standard operating procedures, performance reporting, and operating rhythm to foster a controlled and structured culture and environment that is focused around the "commitment to service our customers" Support, assess and plan all capital and equipment needs annually Work with all respective finance team to plan, prepare and present all distribution related budgets annually Analyze, achieve MTD and YTD budget requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in a relevant area such as Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering. Masters degree preferred. 10 to 15 years of experience in Distribution, Operations Management, or Supply Chain Minimum of 7-10 years of senior leadership experience in one or more of the functions above Multi-site leadership, preferably in a global responsibility. Consistent track record of leading improvements in demanding turnaround, restructuring, and change environments Independent strategic plan development and deployment Advanced understanding of contemporary warehouse management and distribution systems, state of the art material handling systems, and lean operating tools (SAP) a plus Proven ability to collaborate and build relationships at the senior level Passion to win, ability to motivate and drive next level results, and very strong team player Experienced in high volume consumer products distribution to all consumer channels Ability to travel globally.

Develops constructive and effective working relationships with customers and clients Able to translate technical data into business impact information Understanding and experience in using relevant software applications such as SAP Warehouse Management System. Accurately identifies problems, issues and opportunities and sets a course of action based on facts. Understanding and experience using Microsoft Office applications Able to effectively communicate with all levels of management and associates through written and oral methods.

Reports directly to the Vice President Global Logistics/Fulfillment
