Head Equipment Manager (Sports Management/Finance/Admin)

Our University is accepting applications for the position of Head Equipment Manager to establish and oversee equipment operations for 16 NCAA Division I sports. Our University is a member of the Colonial Athletic Association and the Head Equipment Manager will be expected to comply fully with all NCAA, CAA and our University rules, regulations, policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for purchase and inventory of all Athletics equipment, uniforms and practice gear, working closely with coaches and the athletic business office. Will control the Athletic Department vehicle keys, to include distribution of vehicles and keys, and maintenance of the key log. Will coordinate all apparel and equipment issue for department. Will formulate and implement equipment policies and procedures, including the issuing of equipment, inventory controls, storeroom access and usage, laundry services and equipment security. Will meet with coaches to determine equipment and apparel needs, research new innovations and upgrades, and negotiate the purchase of new equipment and apparel. Will oversee the equipment-fitting program to ensure athlete safety. Will coordinate all laundry. The Head Equipment Manager will supervise a staff of hourly and student assistants. Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at our University is required. Salary will be commensurate with experience.


Requirements

Four-year college degree and three years experience required. AEMA Certification preferred. A letter of application, resume, and three (3) letters of recommendation must be sent.
