GWIM Compliance Manager
Title: GWIM Compliance Manager Location: MA-Boston Implements and manages compliance programs for one or more business groups. Exercises judgment and influences business managers and peers to ensure enforcement of compliance programs, balancing business strategy with appropriate risk management controls. Contributes to the development, implementation and communication of Corporate Compliance's mission, goals and strategies. May manage other associates. Implements and monitors compliance programs for BofA Global Capital Management (BACM), a business unit of GWIM. BACM is an investment management division of Bank of America and provides investment management services and products to institutional and individual investors, including as the sponsor of the BofA Funds and other pooled vehicles.
Applies knowledge and expertise to influence business managers and peers to ensure enforcement of compliance programs, balancing business strategy with appropriate risk management controls. Contributes to the development, implementation and communication of Global Compliance Risk's missions, goals and strategies. Communicates and interacts with regulatory agencies, external clients and consultants, and other internal risk management groups within area of responsibility. Function effectively as a member of a small group of professionals and be responsible for all assigned investment, distribution and other compliance program functions activities supporting BACM. May manage other associates.
Required Skills
· Ability to implement and monitor a broad array of compliance program functions, (e.g., sales practices, anti-money laundering, portfolio holdings, information walls, guideline monitoring, affiliate trading, vendor oversight, code of ethics, privacy, policy and procedures, etc). · Ability to work well with others when participating in internal working groups and processes. · Possess the interpersonal, judgment and leadership skills to represent BACM Compliance at internal governance committees, (e.g., due diligence oversight, trading, valuation, investment, credit, etc.). * Possess the communication and writing skills necessary to support the GWIM Compliance Executive and the Chief Compliance Officer of the BofA Funds and BofA Advisors, LLC in preparing a wide range of quarterly and annual reports required under Rule 38a-1 of the Investment Company Act, Rule 206(4)-7 of the Investment Advisers Act and internal compliance program and management reports * Participate in the preparation of a wide-range of compliance program and management reports. * Engage in testing and monitoring of key compliance program functions Ability to manage projects relating to enhancement of the BACM, GWIM and enterprise-level compliance programs Desired Skills
· Project management experience, including ability to work collaboratively with teams and align enterprise resources. · Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills and analytical skills; attention to detail · Proficiency in using MS Word, EXCEL and PowerPoint. · Knowledge of and experience with securities laws and regulations including: the 1933 and 1934 Act, the Investment Advisers Act and the Investment Company Act and UCITs regulation. · Understanding of fixed income instruments with a focus on short duration/money market instruments and the sale and distribution of investment company securities and provision of institutional separate account management services
