Role Description The US iShares Metrics & Analytics group is looking for a business associate that will be responsible for supporting the monthly reporting process and identifying new key performance and business metrics. To be successful, the candidate must have strong reporting, analytical and organization skills. In addition, the right candidate must be a self-starter and possess strong analytical, presentation, verbal and written communication skills, as well as an understanding of the current financial environment. Primary Responsibilities * Support monthly business performance and metrics reporting for the North American iShares ETF business by developing key business insights and effectively communicating observations (internal and external) to senior management * Responsible for accuracy and timely distribution of standard, custom and ad hoc reports * Partner with peers and colleagues within the business to develop new reports and metrics aimed at improving business, client and firm reporting/profitability * Manage internal data feeds required to support reporting requirements * Respond to internal client requests; provide high quality client service * Constantly evaluate systems, processes and reports for inefficiencies and make recommendations for improvements/enhancements Qualifications * BA/BS in Finance, MBA/CFA preferred. * 3-5 years of relevant experience, in an interpretation, reporting and data processing capacity, preferably in the financial industry. * Strong data analysis and problem solving skills with the ability to synthesize data, summarize issues, and think outside the box. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must. Ability to articulate complex concepts simply. * Strong team player – driven to do well but puts the interests of the team and business ahead of his/her personal interests. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (preferably Excel macro and VBA programming experience) and an aptitude and desire for learning new applications. * Database skills (i.e. SQL), including an understanding of database design and the ability to create, run and analyze queries, is desirable. * Organized with strong emphasis on time management and prioritization. Attention to detail a must. * Highly motivated and dedicated team player with natural curiosity and the capacity to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
