The candidate should have registered investment advisory experience. Who we are looking for : The General Counsel/Chief Compliance Officer should have a strong Registered Investment Advisory background and have a broad based knowledge of the Investment Advisor's Act of 1940. The candidate must have legal & compliance experience from the asset management/hedge fund/investment management industry to be considered for this role. The General Counsel/Chief Compliance Officer will cover the firm's compliance program and be a key person in registration with the SEC. The candidate will also cover daily legal issues including contract review, drafting agreements and liaising with outside counsel.
