Principal Responsibilities * Initiate garnishments by completing information on the verification of employment system. * When requested, be required to complete 100 calls per day. * When requested, contact employers to secure acknowledgement of timely wage garnishment initiation. * Follow-up on all accounts that are not making monthly payments. * Research accounts to determine if the debtor is no longer employed or did not generate enough funds to make garnishment payments. * Process appropriate paperwork to stop garnishments or make garnishment changes. * Maintain verification of employment system to ensure that accounts are coded appropriately with reason codes for garnishment payments. * When requested, offer and/or negotiate payment arrangements, settlements, and/or payments as needed. * When requested, maintain daily call sheets. * Conduct quarterly audits to ensure account information is processed correctly and follow-up on the accounts that are not processed correctly. * When requested, handle incoming calls and answer questions. * Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations relating to job duties. * Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with NCO policies and procedures. * Provide feedback to management concerning possible problems or areas of improvement. * Make recommendations to implement improved processes. * Perform other duties as assigned by management.
* High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate or equivalent in relevant work experience desired. * Previous collections experience preferred. * Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. * Ability to work in a team fostered environment. * Ability to work in a multi-tasked environment. * Ability to prioritize and organize work. * Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule. Work Environment * Office environment. * Ability to lift and/or move 20 pounds with or without accommodation.
