Department/Area Function
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) group is responsible for providing proactive Financial Planning and Analysis to DTCC (The Enterprise). Activities include reporting and analysis of actual financial results versus Budget, Estimates and Prior Years for the Income Statement including cuts by Product P&L, Product Profitability, Departmental Expenses, Price Impact, Headcount, Product IT Development Cost and Benefits analysis and Capital Expenditures. Additional activities include: Quarterly Estimates, Annual Budget Process, Long Range Forecasts, Annual Report, M&A, Customer profitability analyses, cost allocations and Total Company financial presentations.
Partner with Finance Director(s) to provide day to day support of Business Units, with particular focus on New Initiatives and Underperforming Businesses. Assist with creation / registration / ongoing support of New Business Lines. Coordinate monthly activities with other Finance functions (Accounting, Operations, Billing, Tax, and Treasury) and Functional areas.
Principal Responsibilities
· Support Business Presentations to Board Committees · Handle Expense variance analysis · Provide business case input for New Initiatives process · Perform regular ADM project maintenance in HP PPM · New Business and Products, including: regulatory filing / registration, pricing and market analysis, capital requirements, ROI, etc. · Coordinate with accounting to facilitate month, quarter, and year end close · Interface with Financial Operations / Billing to investigate and resolve customer issues
Experience · 5-7 years of experience in FP&A/Finance
Knowledge and Skills Required · Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint) · Effective communication skills including the ability to organize, prepare and present reports and analysis · Excellent analytical and PC skills · Ability to interact with various levels of the organization and outside contacts effectively, and operate and manage processes Education, Training &/or Certification Bachelor’s Degree required in Finance/Accounting, MBA in Finance or CFA preferred
