Financial Systems Analyst

Responsibilities include:

The Financial Systems Analyst analyzes, designs, configures, develops and monitors Microsoft Dynamic SL to meet the business and reporting needs of the organization. This position works closely with the finance community in each of our subsidiaries to deliver, maintain, troubleshoot and enhance finance system functionality and adds value to the financial software applications and business through knowledge of the General Ledger suite of products and constructive teamwork with the business and IT teams.

• Interview and document the current process in detail as it relates to all front end production systems and the interfaces back to the sub ledgers.


• Perform company critical analyses and present findings directly to Management.


• Proactively identify business improvement opportunities, develop high-level solution, receive buy-in from affected departments and lead solution development and implementation of project.


• Prepare financial analyses for prospective capital projects. This will include multi-year projections and 'what-if' scenarios, (ROI, NPV analysis).


• Participate in budget planning meetings and be prepared to support the department in budgeting.


• Review actual to budget variances for key metrics and work with departments to reduce costs and increase profitability.


• Provide direction and guidance to analysts within the department on large scale projects. Review the work of others and to assist in ensuring accuracy in analysis and direction.


• Complete special projects as assigned or required.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, general business administration or management information systems (or equivalent experience) and five years related experience. The preferred candidate will have a Master's degree in one of these fields and strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics SL. Strong knowledge of financial applications and processes, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and problem-solving skills are desirable. The ability to develop, prioritize and accomplish goals; problem-solve effectively; analyze and evaluate data; and make appropriate decisions/recommendations is also needed. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
