Financial Systems Analyst 2
Title: Financial Systems Analyst 2 Location: Minnesota-Minneapolis Analyzes existing management information systems. Designs, develops, and implements new management information systems. Builds statistical models and designs/modifies reports for management use. Builds data analysis tools necessary to analyze a business or part of a business.
This position works with the financial Systems team in the Business Line Reporting and Planning Department and is primarily responsible for developing new or modifying existing interfaces (data feeds) in the Oracle management reporting system. The Systems Analyst will own the interface from development through testing and to production, including ongoing support - some of which may occur off-hours. Specific duties include: * Gaining a working knowledge of business needs in order to write business requirements for new interfaces. * Working with programmers and reviewing their technical design document. * Creating Oracle table and loading test data files, which includes Oracle SQL Loader. * Testing the data. A critical component of which includes reconciling data to General ledger information. Proficiency in Microsoft desk tools such as Excel and Access are required. * Documenting test issues and re-testing until bugs are worked out and data reconciles. * Writing Oracle procedures to refine the data and add other Managerial Reporting data including Transfer Pricing and Basel/Economic Equity calculations. Sharing in monitoring month-end close activities, including those months when month-end occurs on weekends. Your Career is Here. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience - One to three years of experience in financial systems technology and analysis
Preferred Skills/Experience -Well-developed analytical skills -Knowledge of financial systems and analysis a plus -Thorough knowledge of various computer applications, programming, hardware, software, micro computers and systems design -Have an interest and/or aptitude for both Finance and Technology -Self-directed -Strong written and oral communications skills -Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deliver results on aggressive timelines -Experience in Oracle development, especially in a data warehouse environment a plus -Prior financial institution experience a plus
