This position is located onsite in Tallahassee, FL. This is an opportunity to work on a program that provides services to one of Florida's most important asset - our children! This individual will provide Financial Analyst support for the Florida Healthy Kids contract and other contracts as assigned. The selected individual will work closely with the Account Manager and Project Managers to provide general forecasting and budgeting support.
Major Position Responsibilities:
* Reforecast, budgeting, and monthly flash projections
* Variance reporting for reforecast, budgets, monthly / weekly flash and comparison of prior month results
* Revenue recognition according to GAAP
* A/P & Expense Report Review/Approval
* A/R collections
* Proposal cost model review and preparation
* Authorization (AFE and Capex, leases) approval
* Support monthly close including preparation of journal entries
* Coordinates with all levels of management within ACS and outside vendors, to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements, operating forecasts and similar complex financial matters.
* Provide analysis on business development and may monitor business performance by unit or division.
* Plans, coordinates and executives policy implementation applicable to the installation of improved financial operations.
* Directs the development and implementation of new concepts and techniques for financial analysis.
* Performs other duties/projects as assigned.
* Potential to work 20% from home
Education and Experience:
The following are required:
* Degree in Accounting
* CPA
* 3-5 years experience in all areas listed above
* Demonstrated planning and organizational skills
* Excellent written and oral communication skills (will need to interact with all levels of management)
* Significant Excel spreadsheet skills
* Applicant must be a dynamic, assertive and professionally driven individual who is a self starter who can recommend process improvements and is flexible in a changing environment
* All other duties as assigned.
Preffered skills:
* Experience with JD Edwards accounting software
* Experience in a healthcare services company or other related industry experience
