Position Description
The position is an inside branch sales role. Success in the position requires effective selling of deposit products, retail credit products and non-credit fee-based products and services (with a focus on meeting goals for loans and deposit production as well as Wealth Management referrals), adhering to the Bank's prescribed sales process. The incumbent is expected to provide high quality customer service to all customers and prospects.
The incumbent reports to a Financial Services Manager (FSM) or to the Manager Retail Banking if there is no FSM assigned to the branch. The incumbent is often the first point of contact with a customer or prospect within the branch and plays a major role in the effective customer relationship management and retention.
Principal Accountabilities .Identifies needs and actively sells the Bank's deposit products/services and retail credit products, adhering to the Bank's prescribed sales process. May participate in outside sales calls occasionally with other loan officers. Refers customers and qualified prospects, as appropriate and required, to other area bankers or product specialists. (May include the sales of specific products requiring a license.) .Markets the Bank's services via telephone and correspondence in a professional, sales-oriented, compliant manner and maintains an active retail prospect list for telemarketing. .Provides information to customers concerning credit products; interview loan applicants; collect appropriate data; process loan requests; finalize documentation; and disburse funds. Maintains open and positive communications with Centralized Underwriting and Loan Doc Prep departments to ensure prompt, professional and responsive lending service. Works with the Collection and Recovery Department with follow-up and collection on loan delinquencies in a timely and effective manner, as appropriate. .Ensures compliance with federal regulations on all loan applications and deposit product documentation. Keeps current on product knowledge and competition. Completes all required compliance training. .Answers questions and resolves problems for customers concerning all services provided by the Bank; identifies the problem, collects data, secures answers and reports results to the inquiring party and works with the Supervisor, Teller Services, Manager, Area Operations, Branch Central or other bank associates as necessary to respond to the customer in a timely manner. .Maintains a positive working relationship with teller staff to ensure the continued generation of customer referrals; follows up on referrals in a timely manner; and provides feedback to tellers on the same. .Actively participates in branch selling programs and sales meetings, making monthly sales presentations as assigned. .Represents the Bank in the community and develop and promote additional business by attending and participating in civic meetings and gatherings, volunteering for activities, etc. .Perform other duties as assigned. Position Requirements
Basic Qualifications: Financial Services Representative I High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 6 months work experience in a sales/customer service capacity.
Additional Requirements: Demonstrated knowledge of retail lending policies and procedures. General analysis skills of personal cash flow.
Financial Services Representative II Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 1 year work experience as a Financial Services Representative I or 1 year lending experience.
Additional Requirements: Must complete federal registration and annual renewal as required by the SAFE Act. Demonstrated knowledge of retail lending policies and procedures. General analysis skills of personal cash flow.
