Entry Level Purchasing Specialist (A/P Background or 1 to 2 years Purchasing experience)
Summary: Responsible for processing purchase requisitions, generating purchase orders, and coordinating managerial approvals for both divisional and corporate personnel.
Requirements:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
-Duties include receiving and routing purchase requisitions for approval -Generating purchase orders from requisitions and phone calls, and coordinating managerial approvals -Responsible for developing and maintaining the vendor master file for use in purchasing -Ordering responsibilities include entering PO data into Solomon Purchasing system and placing orders with Vendors -Invoicing responsibilities include confirming receipt of orders and authorizing paperwork for payment -Additional duties may include special purchase research, price negotiations, handling order-related problems, working vendor statements, running weekly reports, Filing, spreadsheets, and word processing
Education and Experience: High School Diploma, Associates degree preferred, and experience in a corporate purchasing environment handling requests for equipment and services, or 3+ years experience in corporate accounts payable.
