Posted Position Title Financial Reporting Manager Career Level Experienced Function Finance Function Segment Controllership Location United States U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces Connecticut City Danbury Postal Code 06810-6268 Relocation Assistance No Role Summary/Purpose The Reporting Manager is responsible for maintaining the Capital Markets' books per US GAAP and GE GAP. This position reports to the Securitizations Controller. It involves closing the books in accordance with the Corporate and Business's closing calendar, interfacing with the offshore team, and coordinating the monthly and quarterly financial reporting submissions. Essential Responsibilities * Liaising with the Controllers and Assistant Controller to ensure proper / accurate quarterly reporting submissions for Securitizations, Syndications and derivatives
* Maintaining close contact with Corporate & Reporting team to determine SEC, Regulatory, and internal reporting requirements, timelines and ad-hoc requests
* Preparation and/or reviewing of assigned quarterly Close and Reporting Schedules.
* Coordinating internal financial statement completion, including explanation of variances and other analysis as appropriate
* Reviewing offshore and junior accountant's reconciliations settlements as situations dictate.
* Become Subject Matter Expert for Edison securitization - including reviewing settlements, interfacing with the business and FP&A, and senior management as required
* Liaise with the tax department, performing research and analysis on an ad-hoc basis Qualifications/Requirements Basic Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
* Minimum 2 years' Finance experience with 1 year of experience in Controllership or Financial Planning and Analysis
* Experience with the closing and reporting process
* Proficient use of financial systems and analysis tools to include Microsoft Excel, Business Objects, and Access

* YOU MUST BE ABLE TO SATISFY THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 19 OF THE FEDERAL DEPOSIT INSURANCE ACT.

* Must be willing to work out of an office in Danbury, CT.
