Position Description Position Overview:
Take the full responsibility for two European countries for the monthly closing, planning exercise (plan, quarterly forecast), and any other ad-hoc analysis required by the local business partners. Take the responsibility for FP&A for one or more EU-wide business topics. Direct report to the European FP&A manager, with a strong business dimension (support and challenge the business on daily basis)
Responsibilities:
Prepare the close in partnership with the local financial controller and the local Managing Director / analyse results vs LY, Fcst, Plan... Prepare the analysis of key metrics and business drivers with the local business partners/ Prepare the finance pack Work out the forecast/budget with the local business partners Produce any ad-hoc projects/business analysis/reviews asked by the country manager or the business partners Develop financial models in partnership with EU FP&A team and harmonize the existing financial models with the rest of Europe Be in charge of one or more EU-wide business topics and become the champion inside the EU FP&A team Give visibility to the business partner in term of planning deadlines Answer to the business partner needs by producing scorecards or enhancing the existing scorecards Produce any ad-hoc projects/business analysis/reviews asked by the different business partners Track opportunities for savings or incremental revenue source
Core competencies :
Candidates applying for this position must have 3 years experience as an FP&A in a leader company. Academic background expected is MS in Management or equivalent with major in finance. Candidates should also possess the following competencies:
oFluent in English and German oEffective communication skills - including the ability to articulate progress, issues and recommendations in a concise manner to all levels of the organization oEnergy and desire to thrive in a fast-paced organization, with an appetite for challenge and start-up spirit oStrongly business oriented with a genuine interest to understand wider business issues and their impact oStrong management skills and an ability to work well with all levels of an organization oKnowledge of operational accounting processes and financial reporting practices oStrong skills in developing financial reports and analyzing their results oAbility to influence the actions of others and leverage the skills of partners oFocus on achieving project deliverables within tight timelines oAbility to work well within a team structure oAdvanced skills on Excel, Access and Power Point, Knowledge of Hyperion and PeopleSoft appreciated
Frequent trips to Munich are requested and will be key in the success of the role
