We have an immediate temporary role that will be a participating member of the Case Costing team, thisFinancial / Business Analystwill be responsible in performing a variety of technical and analytical functions to support the Case Costing and Finance department. This position will focus on ensuring the quality and integrity of the case costing system's (ADS) clinical, financial and departmental information is maintained; provide financial and accounting support on a variety of hospital special project initiatives; prepare reports utilizing case costing data for decision making; provide solid cost accounting and financial reporting; require the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with various internal and external stakeholders; perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Successful candidate will possess a business or health sciences degree and be actively enrolled in obtaining an accounting designation from a recognized institution (CMA, CGA or CA).
* Minimum two years related work experience in cost accounting, financial reporting and planning and budgeting. Experience in a health care environment preferred.
* An asset to have working knowledge or practical understanding of the Ministry of Health's MIS/OHRS Guidelines and the OCCI methodology preferred.
* Must have solid hands-on technical experience working with computerized accounting systems such as Excel ? advanced level, Meditech.
* Demonstrate advanced financial and statistical analytical skills, data manipulation and database management techniques required.
