Financial Associate
This individual is responsible for the following tasks: * Daily review and analysis of margin/collateral requirements and excess cash balances* Close interaction with fund administrator on various middle and back office matters* Preparation of returns analysis for use in various reporting and marketing materials* Review and analysis of daily fund performance reported by the fund's administrator* Assistance in investor subscription and redemption process* Review of monthly capital reporting to investors* Assistance with the preparation of various investor information requests and ad hoc projects* Application of provisions described in complex legal documents* Close interaction with outside accountants during year-end audit* Close interaction with tax accountants for the preparation of fund tax returns and K-1sGeneral Qualifications: * Four-year College Degree with a strong academic background* Major in accounting, finance or related degree preferred* 2 - 4 years of public accounting, audit or tax, or other relevant work experience in a rigorous environment* Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work under deadlines* Self-starter with initiative* Strong interpersonal skills with capacity to interact with outside parties and personnel across all levels of the firm* Dedicated team player with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through skills* Advanced MS Office, particularly Excel
