Financial Analyst
Position Summary / Key Job Responsibilities: The Financial Analyst position is responsible for supporting the monthly close process, performing financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis throughout the month and supporting special project initiatives. In addition, this position is responsible for cost accounting and reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Coordination of the forecasting and budgeting processes.
Preparation of variance analysis explanation and investigation for management.
Coordination of weekly cash flow reporting.
Work with Project Managers to assist in customer and project level reporting and analysis.
Assist in the development of individual cost center budgets.
Analyze production orders and sales orders for associated variances outside acceptable tolerances.
Provide costing support to Sales and Operations functions.
Coordination of the annual cost calendar.
Assist in the annual physical inventory process, as well as monthly cycle counts.
Responsible for inventory reporting, including WIP analysis.
Provide support on an as needed basis for financial and control audits for both internal and external auditors.
Qualifications / Requirements: Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university.
Five plus years of experience in a manufacturing environment with focus on financial planning and analysis and at least 2 years in cost accounting.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Must have a working knowledge of SAP.
Skills and Abilities Required: Must possess effective interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
Must possess excellent analytical skills.
Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects concurrently.
Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
