Financial Analyst North America Marketplace Transf (Sports Management/Finance/Admin)
As our Financial Analyst, you'll participate in the preparation and distribution of timely and insightful financial analysis used to determine progress against our strategic plan, budgets and forecasts. You'll participate in the preparation and analysis of budgets, including monitoring monthly progress against budgets/targets while working with managers to ensure accountability. You'll also monitor operating and capital spending adherence to policy in addition to training business managers on the budgeting process. You'll participate in the monthly forecasting process across a broad range of businesses, while integrating input from business managers after reviewing assumptions in light of current business conditions and market indicators. You'll be part of a team that is ultimately responsible for the integrity and compliance of financial information with US GAAP. In addition, you'll closely monitor financial transactions, ensuring that journal entries are not only properly stated and classified, but that accounting policies and procedures are documented and that recommended improvements to the internal controls are completed.
Requirements for the position include:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field - 2 years' experience in financial analysis, financial/strategic planning, accounting and/or budgeting or a related area - An advanced degree may be considered in lieu of 1 years' required experience - Strong intermediate to advanced-level proficiency with Excel - Broad understanding of different systems and their data timelines - Demonstrated attention to detail - Ability to multi-task, adapt and prioritize to fast paced environment - Strong sense of urgency and ability to work with short turnaround times - Experience with SAP's financial modules is preferred - CPA or MBA is preferred - Retail experience is a plus - Ability to pass a 7 year background check
