This position offers a unique opportunity for a senior financial analyst to directly support a member of the Enterprise Infrastructure (EI) Senior Team and their organization, and gain exposure to Fidelity Mainframe Hosting, which provides a stable and secure computing platform for Fidelity's critical business operations.
As a member of Fidelity Technology Group Finance's decision support team, you will be asked to take the lead in providing financial decision support and cost management for the Mainframe Hosting division. You will work across groups including product management, capacity planning and operation teams to provide support to planning, budgeting and forecasting, customer interactions, and cost management initiatives, headcount and capital planning as well as drive process improvements that result in a more efficient organization. Position Responsibilities * Key aspects of this position are to develop and implement new thinking around business / financial and operations analysis for Global Network Services and Application Services. * Work collaboratively with business partners to analyze business opportunities, develop business cases and establish and measure key business drivers and performance measures. * In partnership with the business, establish process to identify and articulate business, industry and competitive trends/opportunities and means to analyze their implications. * Implement processes that facilitate predictability, promote insightful analysis and result in more efficient operations. * Develop financial and investments analysis and present findings, to influence key decision makers and recommend solutions. Leadership & Management * Be able to quickly understand how current processes work, envision future changed processes, and then convey that vision for implementation and be a strong change agent. * Work effectively at all levels in the organization. * Strong communications skills, influencing skills and the ability to navigate the organization are required. * Success in this role requires the ability to effectively present concepts or issues and build consensus among peers as well as senior finance and line management. * Strong influencing and business partnership skills. * Ability to communicate the essence of complex financial analysis to audiences of varying degrees of financial sophistication. * Ability to manage a broad portfolio of work; must possess excellent planning, prioritization and project management skills. * Understanding of the strategic impact of decisions yet able to operate at a tactical level to accomplish tasks.
Experience and Education * 5-10 years of progressive finance experience * Undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Economics * MBA or advanced degree designation is strongly preferred * Experience in financial services industry a plus Skills and Knowledge * Highly motivated, quality focused, team player with excellent process and organizational skills * Excellent understanding of Accounting principles and requirements necessary to maintain strong internal controls. * Solid understanding of financial principles and practical experience in applying this knowledge to business situations * Ability to think strategically as well as operate in the details * Excellent knowledge of financial tools (MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint & Essbase) * Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral); audience will range from peers to Executive Leadership * Establish and maintain effective working relationships with direct supervisor and co-workers * Proficient in managing multiple tasks/responsibilities under tight deadlines * Ability to manage deliverables independently and with a high degree of efficiency * Proven ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline driven environment * Previous experience with Fidelity Investments a plus
