Requisition Number 12-0002 Post Date 1/3/2012 Title Financial Analyst II - Asset/Liability Management Part Time? No City Memphis State TN Description This position will be responsible for analysis of the Asset/Liability position of depository institutions. The ALM Advisors group is responsible for assisting depositories in the management of their interest rate risk position. As such, this position will be responsible for gathering client specific information, such as call report data, general ledger, loan/CD/investment data, and loading it into our internal A/L modeling software. The position will be responsible for coordinating the gathering of this data between multiple sources and multiple clients on a specific time table. Once the information is properly verified the analyst must work with senior management to understand current assumptions relative to pricing, growth and strategy. This information is then used by the model to determine the depository risk outlook under multiple interest rate scenarios. Ultimately, this position will be responsible for managing both on-site and teleconference meetings with executive boards, ALCO committees and other management groups within specific institutions. The analyst will be responsible for understanding balance sheet risk and developing strategies to help hedge stated risk. This position requires a high degree of analytical skill and the ability to work with multiple clients (both internal and external) with multiple deadlines.
This position will exist with ALM Advisors, operating within FTN Financial Group, a division of First Tennessee Bank National Association. ALM Advisors is a consulting group, actively managing the balance sheets of various financial institutions, providing risk assessment and strategic planning guidance.
