Financial Analyst - Home Care - Marshfield, WI
This person will be responsible for preparing financial analyses/budget for the Division and acts as a liaison to division and field management for the interpretation of financial data. Prepares monthly financial management reports and assists in the monthly closings. Provides on-site branch profitability reviews and makes recommendations to the Area Directors and Agency Directors. Provides presentations to senior management and field management at meetings and seminars.
Additional responsibilities include:
* Preparing and reviewing monthly financial results for senior management. Analyzing profit and loss statements, preparing general analyses, and completing special projects.
* Maintaining the general ledger accounting system and related accounting records in a timely and accurate condition.
* Reconciling all general ledger accounts on timetable establish by corporate practice.
* Providing on-site profitability reviews at branches with the directors and area directors to educate and make recommendations on financial improvements.
* Providing presentations to senior and line management covering topics such as financial performance, improvements needed and changes in the Medicare payment system.
* Acting as a liaison to field and corporate staff for the interpretation of financial data and processes, and to respond to questions/problems regarding financial statements and budgets. Performing research and analyses on profit and loss statements for field management.
* Acting as the site liaison for the annual capital budget for all offices in the Company. Providing financial direction to branch/ regional management regarding budget preparation and conducts formal presentations as needed.
* Preparing monthly financial management reports comparing current performance with year-to-date results and budget projections. Reviewing/preparing monthly general closing entries, analyze preliminary monthly performance, and define variances. Ensuring that all Company activity has been accurately presented.
* Overseeing quarterly industry analyses, monthly Medicare comparison analyses, and revenue and expense forecasting for all Company operations.
* Assisting with the preparation of all agency budgets.
* Steping in as needed as a JIT resource to perform finance tasks in the event a key site based finance employee leaves without a contingency plan.

Requirements:
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or the equivalent, with a minimum of 4 to 7 years of relevant experience: preparing/analyzing financial statements and related management reports and presentations, month end closings, and annual budgets. Strong knowledge of microcomputer operations and related financial software. Must have effective communication and presentation skills. Must also have previous home health/hospice experience.
