Our client, a leader in the consumer packaged goods industry is seeking a Finance Manager, Purchasing to join their dynamic team. (BMH3xR1)
Responsibilities * Manage various monthly reports, including Purchase Price Variances (PPV) reports for Direct Purchasing and the different Business Units, explaining results, identifying trends, and providing insights * Coordinate monthly and quarterly forecasts for PPV's for the different Business Units, explaining changes from prior forecasts and providing commentary of key trends * Oversee the monthly reporting of savings for both Direct and Indirect Purchasing, identifying and explaining variances to budget and prior forecasts * Oversee the validation and auditing of purchasing savings, liaising with the different business units and purchasing managers to ensure a successful and well aligned process * Manage the annual budget, and the quarterly forecast process for central purchasing savings, coordinating and reaching alignment with the different Business Units. * Support purchasing team in preparing the budget presentation * Provide financial expertise and performs ad-hoc analysis to support purchasing team Requirements * CMA or MBA * University business degree * 2+ years of experience at the manager level * 3-5 years of progressive financial analysis experience * Excellent knowledge of standard costing and accounting * Manufacturing experience is an asset * Ability to develop rapport with all levels and across the organization * Able to function both independently and in a team environment * Excellent planning & organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities * Must have excellent analytical skills & be detail-oriented * Strong communication & interpersonal skills
