Finance Manager - Inbound Transportation
Amazon seeks a Finance Manager to partner with the Inbound Transportation Team. This person will manage analysts responsible for business analytics, metrics and budgeting for the inbound transportation organization. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, detail-oriented and has the ability to work well with cross-functional teams including Amazon supply chain, retail, transportation, fulfillment and software development.
The right individual will have exceptional finance and analytical skills, strong leadership skills and solid business judgment capable of driving an organization to the right results. In addition, the successful candidate must have the ability to influence the decisions of senior business leaders through fact based analysis and effective verbal and written communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and collaborate transportation cost savings initiatives and quantify projected and actual results
Lead the inbound transportation budget and forecast process
Manage the inbound transportation weekly, monthly and quarterly metrics
Basic Qualifications:
BA/BS degree required
3+ years experience in finance
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA preferred
Knowledge of transportation carriers, networks and systems a plus
Highly analytical and detail oriented
Proven ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions
Proven ability to work successfully in an ambiguous environment
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload
Strong financial analysis and financial modeling skills
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
