Finance Manager II - Gatorade Trade Management Job
Description
Position Overview Role partners with Sales Strategy and Pepsi Bottling Company (PBC) to manage financial algorithm for Gatorade Bottler Go-To-Market (GTM), Foodservice, and C-store businesses. Responsible for understanding results, forecasting trade, and managing Incremental Funding Requests (IFR). In addition, will develop full business forecast and annual plan for Bottler GTM.
Responsibilities Partner with Sales Strategy and Field Finance on period reviews and funding requests
- Develop and present period operating reviews to Sales Strategy leadership
- Manage customer IFRs with Sales Strategy
- Prepare detailed IFR analysis and present recommendation to Gatorade leadership
- Deliver period and adhoc IRI reporting
Responsible for C-Store, Foodservice, and Bottler (GTM) period activities
- Manage period trade accrual reviews
- Manage Bottler GTM field trade accruals
- Manage trade rate/mix analysis by pack/channel
- Provide clear variance explanations vs. Plan, Forecast, and LY to leadership
Lead Forecasting Process for C-Store, Foodservice, and Bottler (GTM)
- Manage forecast reviews with customer teams
- Prepare holistic Bottler GTM field forecast (volume, GS $, & trade) for small format, large format, and FSV business segments
- Identify risks/opportunities to trade forecast
- Provide forecast cause of change analysis with clear, concise commentary to Corporate
- Identify and implement process/data improvements to increase overall forecast accuracy
- Review trade forecast with Gatorade Finance Director
Annual Operating Plan (AOP) requirements
- Partner with Pricing and Strategy team to transition customer AOP pricing assumptions
- Lead review of customer trade and net revenue AOP build
- Prepare customer AOP slotting budget
- Create Bottler GTM field AOP build (volume, GS $, & trade) for small format, large format, and FSV business segments
Responsible for Trade Liability Review
- Prepare quarterly Bottler/FSV liability review
- Review liability balances with Finance Director
Hierarchy Management
- Develop new item hierarchies for management reporting
- Work cross-functionally with Supply Chain and DMO to manage material creation work flows
Requirements:
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance, MBA or CPA preferred
- 8-10 years experience, CPG and Trade Spend experience preferred
- Experience with volume/rate/mix analysis
- Experience in Sales Finance, Net Revenue Mgmt, or FP&A
- Ability to interact with Senior Management
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Results oriented, able to complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to work as a team player and drive cross functional agendas
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
- Strong time management skills
- Strong excel modeling skills required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Access and SAP preferred
