Position Description
To provide financial reporting and analysis to the sales management by performing various functions such as analyzing revenue trends, pricing, calculating GPO and customers profitability, managing reporting databases and delivering timely, accurate and meaningful analysis.
Position Responsibilities
Provide analysis and guidance on contracting decisions which may include individual hospitals as well as IDN or GPO agreements. Prepares ad-hoc reports and analysis as required from various systems including SAP, GFS, CHESS, Business Objects, & Business Warehouse. Create business reviews and profitability analysis for individual/group deals and for pricing agreements. Prepare and publish daily, monthly, quarterly sales and pricing trends to track metrics. Analyze the impact of pricing changes with consideration of segmentation strategy and portfolio optimization. Business partner with Sales team in developing tools, tactics, and programs to drive incremental revenue growth. Proactively seeks out area of process improvement and business partner with sales management to identify opportunities. Become a corporate point of contact for multi line contracts. Prepare and publish daily and monthly revenue reports. Monitor pricing/contracts to make sure we are in compliance Supporting role to the Manager of Sales Finance in sales reporting, expenses and ad-hoc analysis. Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with the Medtronic site Quality System.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years experience with a Bachelors degree or 2 years with a Masters degree. Must have experience in financial analysis, sales report, and have experience using a mid-level accounting system.
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
Must be flexible and adaptable; must demonstrate good judgment, tact, discretion, and diplomacy in decision-making authority. Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, have excellent communication skills, be able to handle multiple tasks and have effective time management t have strong verbal and written communication skills, including accuracy in record keeping and correspondence. Must be able to handle confidential information. Advanced Excel skills and experience with Word, Access, Outlook, & PowerPoint. Familiarity with Hyperion & business query tool such as Business Object is a plus.
