The Business Risk ("BR") service area is comprised of professionals that possess competency and experience in the areas of risk management, business and operational processes, internal auditing, financial reporting and other internal controls, and regulatory compliance. Business risk professionals use these skills to assess, analyze, and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of governance, financial and operational control processes, offer recommendations to improve operations, and assist clients with enterprise risk and compliance activities. Financial Management Consultant Location/s: Northern Virginia (Tyson's Corner/Vienna/Chantilly/Arlington), Maryland (Suitland, Bethesda, Fort Meade)
Performance Profile/Position Description: We have opportunities available to grow your financial management or accounting career in support of Deloitte's consulting business in the Intelligence Community. Examples include accounting for General Property, Plant and Equipment (PP&E), budgetary and proprietary accounting policies and procedures, financial statement compilation, financial reconciliation, internal control assessment and development, audit remediation, etc.
Our consultants conduct business process reviews and perform business process improvement. Additional areas include financial and property audits, metrics development, integration of financial and property management systems, and internal control design and implementation. He/she will act as a liaison to multiple stakeholders within the Finance organization as well as external offices.
Required Qualifications: · Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting · Active clearance required: TS or TS/SCI with polygraph · 3+ years experience in accounting/finance in the federal space to include consulting experience in support of any of the following financial areas: government accounting, federal financial statements, PP&E, internal control assessment and development, audit (including audit remediation and audit readiness), budget, etc. · 3+ years experience working directly with GS-15 level and SIS/SES clients.
Position-specific Desired Skills: · CPA, MBA, or Masters in Accounting · Financial management certification (CDFM, CGFM, APDP, etc.) · Prior experience within the Intelligence Community or Department of Defense a plus.
