Federal Contract Reconciliation Consultant
Our client is seeking a Financial Consultant in Contract Reconciliation to perform work for a federal government customer. If you are qualified and interested in this position, please apply online today for immediate consideration. Tasks will include: * Review contract documentation and validate funded amounts are recorded correctly in accounting and entitlement systems for each line of accounting * Review invoice documentation and reconcile to disbursement data in the accounting and entitlement system * Identify discrepancies; perform reconciliation and analysis, and access contracting, accounting, and entitlement systems to identify the cause of discrepancies * Prepare and staff packages to correct discrepancies; track corrections, confirming they have been processed timely and correctly to resolve the problem * Assist with presentation of financial data, progress, and performance metrics information for briefings and other presentationsRequired: * A minimum 3 years of experience in federal finance and accounting operations, preferably with the Department of Defense (DoD) * A basic knowledge of government contracts is also required for the position * An understanding of contract reconciliation techniques to identify problem payments and prepare necessary corrections through the reconciliation efforts * Experience with DoD accounting and entitlement systems such as: MOCAS, EDA, and DCAS/CERPS * Strong Microsoft Office word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation skills to support the contract reconciliation team and provide general administrative support * BA/BS Degree Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
