External Reporting Specialist - IFRS Reporting
The External Reporting Specialist - IFRS Reporting is responsible for preparing quarterly and annual IFRS financial information for Chrysler Group LLC to be included in Fiat HFM submission. Prepare US GAAP to IFRS financial results reconciliations, including discussions and analyses of differences between US GAAP and IFRS. Assist in preparation of IFRS management briefing book analyses, including related variance analyses. Prepare quarterly IFRS financial information to be included in Audit Committee package. Assist in review of financial related information included in Chrysler Group and Fiat quarterly press releases, analyst presentations and financial documents. Assist in preparation of financial related SEC documents (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc). Coordinate the external and internal IFRS management representation letter process on a quarterly basis. Support external audit and review procedures. Technical accounting research on various topics, as assigned. Special projects, as assigned. Assist in SOX compliance, including documentation and testing as required. Provide accounting and financial reporting guidance and support to other corporate accounting staff.
Basic Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Accounting or Finance, including at least 2 years public accounting experience (Big 4 or large regional accounting firm preferred)
• Knowledge of accounting pronouncements, SEC rules and regulations and external reporting requirements
• Strong personal computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Requirements: • MBA or Master's degree in Accounting/Finance
• Working knowledge of IFRS
• Experience with SAP and Hyperion
• Good overall business acumen
• Excellent technical accounting, analytical and teamwork skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong leadership and problem solving skills with a bias for action and issue resolution
• Ability to work under pressure and in a time constrained environment
• Significant overtime required at quarterly and year-end closes
