External Reporting Specialist - Balance Sheet
The External Reporting Specialist - Balance Sheet is responsible for preparing quarterly and annual SEC compliant consolidated financial statements for Chrysler Group LLC on a US GAAP basis,assisting withthe preparation of Chrysler Group LLC financial related SEC documents (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.), assisting with the review of financial related information included in Chrysler Group and Fiat quarterly press releases, preparing analyst presentations and financial documents and preparing Chrysler Group LLC's US GAAP and IFRS Balance Sheet Briefing Books, including related variance analyses. The individual will be preparing quarterly balance sheet information and related variance explanations to be included in Audit Committee package and preparing monthly and quarterly reporting schedules for the treasury group. In addition, and as assigned there will be a need for technical accounting research on various topics, special projects and other responsibilities, supporting external audit and review procedures and providing accounting and financial reporting guidance and support to other corporate accounting staff.
Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, including at least 2 years public accounting experience (Big 4 or large regional accounting firm preferred)
• Strong personal computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications: • MBA or Masters in Accounting/Finance
• Knowledge of accounting pronouncements, SEC rules and regulations and external reporting requirements
• Experience with SAP and Hyperion
• Good overall business acumen
• Excellent technical accounting, analytical and teamwork skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong leadership and problem solving skills with a bias for action and issue resolution
• Ability to work under pressure and in a time constrained environment
• Significant overtime required at quarterly and year-end closes
