Experienced Accounting Clerk with Business Support.
The Accounting Clerk supports the general activities of the Accounting Department. This position is responsible for processing various documents within the organization. This includes but is not limited to invoices, General Journal transactions, reconciliations, and cash management y update and maintain accounting records, including those which calculate expenditures, invoices/receipts, accounts payable and receivable, and profit and loss. All clerks make numerous computations each day and must be comfortable using computers to calculate and record data. * Responsible for processing high volume Accounts Payable * This person will be involved in the full cycle Accounts Payable process: matching, batching, coding to the GL, cutting checks, etc. * Weekly processing of expense and petty cash receipts * Other duties as assigned by the Accounts Payable Manager * Record all transactions and post debits (costs) and credits (income). * Produce Financial statements and prepare reports and summaries for supervisors and managers. * Prepare bank deposits by compiling data from cashiers, verifying and balancing receipts, and sending cash, checks, or other forms of payment to the bank. * Correct or note errors for accountants or other workers to fix.
