The Energy and Utilities practice offers proven IT services and business solutions that address the needs of Upstream Exploration and Production Companies, Oilfield Services Companies, Refiners, Sales and Trading Companies and Pipeline Companies, as well as reduces IT costs. With energy and utilities companies, as well as large industrial consumers and banks struggling to manage their energy trading operations in the face of high-volatility, the ETRM practice area brings enhanced efficiency and reduced risk by implementing end-to-end trading systems leveraging functional expertise and a global delivery model.

Responsibilities:

Senior Associate

• Responsible for delivering world-class practices and processes to our clients. Interface with middle and senior-level client personnel to develop business implementation strategies, formulate projects plans, and address specific issues that may arise during an engagement. Designing outstanding business and technical solutions to support Best Practice implementations


• Lead a team of global IT professional & subject matter experts in establishing complete business & functional requirements, translating those requirements into actionable project initiatives w/associated metrics. Provide overall project management necessary to deliver a quality solution that meets the client’s business requirements.


• Perform external competitive benchmarking and analysis.


• Work with client company’s financials to develop business cases, perform ROI calculations, and develop capital budgets.


• Perform Business Process Improvement using various business consulting tools and methodologies.


• Work with cross-functional client teams to perform gap analysis and identify improvement options.


• Work with senior technical architects from Infosys Technologies to define and create technical solutions.


• Create detailed action plans that include organizational change management, resource planning, competitive strategies, and alliances to embark on a new strategic direction and to enable successful deployment of solutions.


• Capture best practices and add to firm’s knowledge management initiatives.


• Supervise more junior staff.

Qualities, Experience & Skills:

• Previous consulting experience is required, preferably Big 4, or other ETRM vendor


• Ability to help clients solve problems that deal with business strategies, information requirements, process, organization and technology


• Well versed in working with clients, reviewing their business requirements, and suggesting process improvements.


• Delivery profile in ETRM implementations: Any of Openlink, Allegro, Triple Point or similar Energy Trading and risk management package


• Primary area of expertise: ETRM-package enabled transformation of Supply and Trading businesses; Experience in Physical UK and European Gas, Power, Coal, Carbon and Global Oil Markets; Intimate Knowledge of Physical and Derivatives transactions for above commodities and markets


• Experience should include multiple full life cycle implementation experiences throughout all phases of the package implementation lifecycle, and should include functional expertise in above areas.


• A leader and key contributor in project management of large ETRM implementation projects and teams; significant team leadership experience over work Streams / Functional Areas


• Experience in leading teams spanning the lifecycle (: Business/Functional Analysis, Integration, Data Management / Data Quality, Reporting and Analytics, UAT


• Ability to work as part of a cross-cultural team including flexibility to support multiple time zones when necessary


• Bachelor’s degree is required, prefer MBA


• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills


• Willingness to travel 4 days a week
