End Use Energy Efficiency Engineer
Title: End Use Energy Efficiency Engineer Location: District of Columbia-Washington
Key Role: Provide advisory services to a government research and development (R&D) client serving as an expert with comprehending energy technology in the area of end-use energy efficiency. Work with world-class scientists in driving forward research efforts in a broad base of energy related R&D areas. Maintain and leverage technical expertise and relationships while serving clients. Provide strategic assessments of new technologies in support of senior decision-makers. Conduct background research in evaluating the feasibility and the commercial applications of new technological concepts. Produce and present findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients and assist with technical program management, program development, and preparing briefing materials for government R&D efforts. Basic Qualifications: -2 years of experience with postdoctoral research related to end-use efficiency in HVAC, heat transfer, friction, solid-state lighting, device-engineering, sensors, or actuators -2 years of experience with authoring technical papers, reports, or program plans for both technical and non-technical audiences -Ability to demonstrate good judgment -Ability to commute to Washington, DC -Ability to obtain a security clearance -PhD in EE, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering
Additional Qualifications: -2 years of experience with postdoctoral or industry research -Experience in a consulting environment -Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint -Ability to exhibit flexibility, adaptability, and team orientation -Possession of excellent organizational and interpersonal skills -Possession of excellent client service skills -Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
