A successful and growing entertainment firm, located in Manhattan, is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to join their finance team. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the daily operations of their Accounts Payable Department. Your responsibilities will include,the management and development of three accounts payable clerks, managing and maintaining the organizations vendor relationships, the implementation of policies and procedures, 1099 preparation and ensuring the accuracy of weekly check runs. This position holds a highly visible role within this organization, so candidates should have experience working with upper management and the ability to conduct research and answer questions posed by senior management. Additionally, you will lead your team through a system conversion this year, so previous knowledge of software implementations is essential.

Experience: Qualified candidates will possess 5+ years of in depth accounts payable experience, in a similar organization, as well as 3+ years of AP Management experience. Additionally, candidates should possess exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrate strong leadership qualities. Candidates should also hold a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance and have advanced knowledge of MS Excel. Working knowledge of Oracle and/or a similar software package is a plus!
