Title: Divisional Administrative Mgr - LATAM Location: FL-Miami The Divisional Administrative Manager for the GWIM Latin America Wealth Management business is a direct report to the head of the business and functions as a member of the leadership team. Additionally, this role has a matrix reporting line to the Global Head of Supervision & Control for y are responsible for overseeing the activity of Regional and Complex AMs and a wide variety of delegated compliance, administrative and business functions. Compliance related responsibilities include reviewing and approving elevated issues and working with Law and Compliance and senior management to resolve regulatory issues and to negotiate settlements; and proactively identifying issues and exposure items both for the US-based and regional components of the business. As a member of the Management team, the Divisional Administrative Manager often represents the office and Merrill Lynch with clients, prospects, FA recruits, vendors, regulators and outside legal counsel.
As an integral part of the management team, they support the company's business objectives and contribute to profitability by influencing FA business practices in ways that minimize regulatory, financial and reputational risks both for the US-based and regional components of the business. The effective Divisional Administrative Manager enhances adherence to Corporate and Division policies, principles and standards of ethical conduct both through observation and intervention and through personal example.
Responsibilities · Serve as a member of the Latin America Management team
· Assists the head of the business in executing a leadership vision
· Partners on performance management and development of Regional & Complex Administrative Managers
· Oversees the activities of Regional & Complex Administrative Managers
· Reviews and approves or denies risk issues elevated from the Regional & Complex level
· Ensures compliance and cooperation between Regional Complex and state, federal and industry regulators for the US components of the business.
· Ensures compliance and cooperation with local practices and regulators for the business conducted in jurisdictions in Latin American jurisdictions
· May directly manage and/or train Administrative Managers, Financial Advisors, Client Associates and other personnel
Skills & Capabilities · Expert knowledge of regulatory and supervisory requirement and corporate policies and procedures.
· Industry registrations including Series 7, 9, 10, 63 and 65. Additional licenses if necessary.
· Branch office experience including knowledge of sales, products and operations
· Broad knowledge of internal and branch office reporting systems and reasonable facility with computer applications.
· Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written)
· Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize
· Strong management skills, including the ability to effectively plan, monitor, influence, negotiate, supervise and delegate.
· Demonstrates the ability to lead own work and the work of others.
· Ensure an environment that encourages, supports and provides the resources for associate development and motivation.

Expectations · Reports to head of Latin America businesswith a matrix reporting line to the Global Head of Supervision & Control for GWIM.
