POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- As part of the senior leadership team, help shape the vision and strategy of the small business and commercial business for Citi.  Lead the formulation and implementation of long and short-term strategic plans and objectives throughout the region.
- Provide strong, compassionate and visible leadership, which fosters positive attitudes and trust among employees, customers, and prospects.  Partner with various internal organizations within the region to ensure the customer experience is optimized.
- Develop integrated sales and relationship programs for business and commercial clients that are in alignment with the overall business plan to achieve desired revenue, cross-sell, and service hurdles.  Will also serve as the region's senior client calling officer, persuasively interacting with client CEO's and business owners as appropriate.
- Through extensive community involvement, create the bank's position within the marketplace of being a community partner providing broad, multi-product banking solutions to the large number of business and commercial customers in the market.   Partnering with retail banking, lead community efforts in the region to demonstrate the Citi commitment and presence.
- Develop organizational plans, budgets and financial controls to meet strategic plans and objectives and ensure communication of such to appropriate internal management.
- Attract, develop and retain a talented and motivated regional team of bankers and banking managers (in the $0-$100 million revenue segment) enabling each to achieve their revenue growth objectives by deepening existing relationships in assigned portfolio of customers as well as acquiring new business.   Maintain a strong employee candidate pipeline.
- Ensure safe, sound and timely underwriting practices and overall leadership of Citibank credit standards.
- Ensure that the region's activities are carried out in accordance with all legal and governmental regulations as well as internal policies and procedures. 
- Continually monitor practices of competition and report findings to management when appropriate.
- Maintain frequent interaction with centers of influence, diverse industry segments, community leaders, regulators, and senior business contacts.

Qualifications 

 

EXPERIENCE
- MBA or equivalent experience
- Minimum 10 - 15 years business and/or commercial banking with increasing levels of responsibility
- Minimum 15 years exercising commercial credit decision making authority for credits up to $10 million and greater
- Successful track record in sales management
SKILLS / ABILITIES
- Highly focused, able to rapidly determine key priorities, clearly communicate the priorities and ensure resources
are properly aligned
- Proven leadership ability with excellent interpersonal communication skills at all levels.  Reputation in market attracts talent.
- Expert knowledge of credit products (formal credit training required)
- Strong financial and analytic skills and ability to rapidly assimilate complex information
- Sharp business development focus, demonstrating innovative approaches
- High level of energy, enthusiasm and motivation
