The Director of Prospect Direct Marketing Analytics (PDMA) is responsible for leading a team of econometricians to support International External Acquisitions through Direct Mail (DM) and Telemarketing (TM) channels. The PDMA team is responsible for developing, innovating and integrating information driven marketing as well as holds central responsibilities for supporting strategic acquisition priorities and enabling the transfer of marketing knowledge across ICSS.
Responsibilities -
The team led by this position is responsible for helping to develop analytical infrastructure and capabilities to enhance business results and decision making in External Acquisition DM and TM. Primary accountabilities include the development of experimental design, statistical analysis, modeling tools and decision support logic to improve: . Offer or marketing initiative targeting including predictive modeling and data mining . Defining high potential segments . Creating test designs for marketing initiatives using a wide variety of methodologies to support potentially complex experimental settings . Designing tracking plans for each initiative to ensure the appropriate feedback loop for optimization . Data driven simulation and optimization support for granular marketing investment strategies and marketing partner compensation decisions
The successful candidate is expected to stay current in their field and up to date with the latest business statistics and data mining practices.
The core expectation in this role is to function as an expert in analytics for acquiring new customers as well as a business manager to drive results. The successful candidate and their team are thus responsible for: . Partnering with marketing teams to define the business problem or critical hypotheses of a marketing initiative including assessing overall effectiveness . Defining the appropriate statistical or analytical technique for the business problem; this decision should balance business needs and timing with the required robustness . Persuading business partners to adopt the suggested analytical approach and working with them to incorporate this into the overall business plan . Defining and sourcing (or arranging to generate) the appropriate data to feed the analysis . Extract intelligent information from this potentially complex data and perform the required analysis including ensuring appropriate quality control . Provide the results translated into key actionable insights for the business and deliver them in an impactful way to the business partners; also ensure that applicable results and discovered best practices are disseminated across the business

A Master's degree in Economics, Statistics, Quantitative analysis or MBA with quantitative specialization and significant analytical/econometric experience . Ability to lead a diverse group of high performing econometrics professionals; providing functional leadership while facilitating employee development. The incumbent will also be a strong business leader and team player with the ability to build relationships and get things done without direct authority. . High quality written and oral communication skills with proven success in influencing business decisions and driving results . Ability to operate independently and make critical decisions regarding high visibility deliverables with tight timelines; often requiring the ability to make complex decisions in situations of ambiguity and time pressure .
