Summary
The Director Patient Access directs the development and implementation of policies, procedures and strategies for patient scheduling, registration and financial counseling functions.
Responsibilities
*Oversees patient access operations and coordinates initiatives across facilities to ensure standardization and sharing of best practices. *Provides guidance for patient access and revenue cycle staff and management to resolve issues. *Coordinates and promotes implementation and monitoring of standard master files, processes, reporting, and educational programs. *Maintains current knowledge of regulatory requirements and company compliance policies, ensuring timely staff education. Informs leadership and staff regarding payer requirements, significant changes and developments in regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
Education & Experience
*Five years of experience managing registration, healthcare finance or accounts receivable required *Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business required.
