Director of Finance

1. Financial Management
a) Generates financial reports for Board, employees and worker-owners. Ensures that CHCA and CHAP financial records are accurate, complete, and produced in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
b) Provides timely and accurate analysis of financial reports that will assist the President, Board and other Senior Managers in managing their responsibilities.
c) Ensures compliance with established internal controls.
d) Develops a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism which includes a minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
e) Serves as a liaison for external financial institutions; providing them with financial reports when necessary.
f) Participates in the development of goals, including financial profitability, quality jobs and quality care.
g) Participates in the preparation of the annual operating and capital budgets.
h) Reviews financial information to ensure that the organizational resources are allocated efficiently.
i) Provides support to organizations that share similar missions and values.
j) Develops and implements plans to build operational infrastructure including systems, processes and personnel design to respond to market changes and organizational needs.

2. Management & Leadership
a) Communicates and promotes the mission, goals and vision of the organization both internally and externally.
b) Develops departments short and long term goals and strategies.
c) Monitor?s and evaluates departments overall functions.
d) Establishes a professional, competent, supportive tone for the department which promotes and ensures respect and teamwork.
e) Disseminates organizational or industry specific information.
f) Evaluates the departments resources in order to fulfill its objectives.
g) Conducts regular meetings with supervisors and department members.
h) Supports the growth and development of the manager.
i) Participates as a member of the operations team.
j) Conducts performance reviews in accordance with the organizations performance review process.

    Requirements:

  • MBA or CPA
  • Three years of senior level experience running a finance department.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite & Accounting Software
