Director of Affiliates Accounting Department: Financial Accounting Schedule:Full-timeShift:Hours:Job Details:- Bachelor Degree req. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required. Master's Degree preferred. CPA and FHFMA strongly preferred but not required. Must have 5- 7 years of progressively more responsible experience in financial management including accounting, budgeting, financial planning, auditing, etc., preferably in a healthcare environment. Previous public accounting experience is a plus. Director of Affiliates Accounting plans, directs, supervise and coordinate functions in Finance for all St. Vincent's HealthCare's (SVHC) affiliated entities including General Accounting, Financial Reporting and Tax reporting. Responsible for establishing and maintaining an accounting system to meet SVHC's needs and provide complete and accurate records of assets, liabilities, and financial transactions. Coordinate, review, and prepare reports and analyses necessary to reflect the financial position of the related entities. Also responsible for ensuring that the financial statements of SVHC's affiliated entities are fairly stated, in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles. A high level of analytical ability is required in order to assist in planning, directing and controlling the activities of the Finance Department. Strong interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively and efficiently with management, staff, the public, external auditors and other agencies.
