Description
The Director of Accounting and Reporting will support Devonshire senior management, its operating business and investment funds / private equity investments in complex valuation, accounting and reporting matters in order to drive value growth in our investments and portfolio companies. Key responsibilities include investment valuation, fund accounting and reporting, investor communications and technical accounting analysis.

Primary Responsibilities
* Responsible for monthly/quarterly close and reporting requirements for investment funds and NAV (net asset value) performance
* Manage quarterly investment valuation process and NAV reporting for domestic and internal investments, working directly with senior Devonshire and Fidelity management
* Understand valuation approaches and key drivers/metrics for revenue, cash flows and profitability for specific investments and operating companies.
* Understand and assess impact of capital structures, financing and tax strategies on portfolio companies and investments
* Responsible for various financial reports and analyzes, and preparation of executive presentation materials for senior management
* Support portfolio companies on various special projects (equity compensation programs, acquisitions / dispositions, pro forma financials, accounting issues, etc.)
* Perform technical accounting research and provide technical accounting assistance to portfolio companies and assist with implementation of new accounting pronouncements.
* Responsible for coordination with corporate accounting, internal audit, risk management, tax and treasury
* Ensure appropriate policies / procedures and appropriate internal control structures are in place for Devonshire Investors, investment funds and portfolio companies
* Support the annual budget and periodic reforecast process for Devonshire Investors
Qualifications
Education and Experience
* Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting. CPA required.
* 7-10 years experience in accounting/reporting role (public/private mix preferred)
Skills and Knowledge
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Excellent skills in analytical, problem solving, organizational, communication, presentation and interpersonal capabilities
* Ability to envision the "big picture" while maintaining close attention to detail
* Team oriented, results focused individual with hands-on style committed to delivering high quality work product
* Creativity and tenacity in analysis and problem solving. "Can-do" attitude; ability to work intensively. Accountability for results.
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Work with minimal direction in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
* Strong Excel and PowerPoint executive presentation skills required.
* Experience with financial systems (Oracle GL, Essbase, Hyperion, Investran) considered beneficial
