-Responsible for accounting for all areas of Network and programming costs, including production costs, amortization of programming expenses and revenue recognition -Develop, document and implement accounting for all aspects of the planned Network -Assure timely and accurate completion of Monthly, Quarterly, and Year End Financial Closings for Network/TV Production -Review financial statements and reports, and write clear, concise commentary for review by internal management. -Ensure that account activity and balances are accurate/reasonable and reconciled regularly. -Complete other special analyses and project assignments as directed. -Review and make improvements to internal processes as needed.
Required Education & Experience:
-Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required. -Designation of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance. -Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible hands-on experience in corporate accounting and industry experience is required. -Working knowledge of US GAAP a must.
Desired Experience, Skills and Abilities:
-Experience in managing multiple repsonsibilities and deliverables and ability to collaborate with peers, and other financial management as well as external and internal audit personnel on Network related matters. -Demonstrated ability to identify and define accounting problems, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions. Ability to be thorough and attentive to detail, while still meeting deadlines required. -Proven communication and presentation skills are essential. -Experience and knowledge of various accounting systems such as JD Edwards, TM1 (IBM Cognos) and Microsoft Office, is required.
